The commanding sight of Taipei’s skyline is called Taipei 101, the 2nd tallest building in the world, coming in at 1,671 feet to the highest point. It claimed the top spot from its completion in 2004 until the Burj Khalifa in Abu Dhabi opened in 2010, beating it by over 1,000 feet (being a 1/2 mile high), which is amazing.

Taipei 101 is a very lovely building, and quite an impressive artistic contribution to Taipei city, even though the height possibly detracts a bit from its design in some ways.
